This snack is made by using puffed rice in kannada we call it as kadalepuri or mandakki ,it is very simple snack prepared with in no time,and can be served with coffee or tea,or when ever guests come home we can prepare immediately,if you have puffed rice,it is very tasty snack...
Ingredients
2 cups puffed rice or kadalepuri
Salt
Sugar little ( optional)
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder. 1&1/2 tsp or as per spicy
Oil 1 &1/2 tbsp
Mustered seeds 1 tsp
Peanuts 1/4 cup
Curry leaves
Dry red chillies 4-5 broken into small peaces
Lemon juice 1 tsp or more ( optional)
Method
Heat oil in a pan & add mustered seeds & when it crakels add dry red chillies,& fry then add pea nuts & fry unti golden brown in color,then add curry leaves & fry then add turmeric & chilli powder & mix well.remove from fire & add puffed rice & mix & add salt & sugar & mix well with hands until well incorporated.
Lastly,if you want you can add lemon juice & mix ( this gives both spicy & tanginess).
