JEERA / CUMIN RICE / JEERIGE ANNA.




Jeera rice or cumin rice is a tasty variety of rice ,this dish is north indian dish.very simple to prepare within no time.
Ingredients

1 cup cooked rice
1 tbsp jeera/ cumin seeds
Cinnamon 1/2"
2 cloves
1pod cardamom
2-3 pulav leaves
Curry leaves few
Coriander leaves  for garnishing
2 tbsp
1&1/2 tsp jeera powder
2 tsp red chilli powder or as needed
1 small onion finely chopped
Garam masala 1/2 tsp ( optional)
Few roasted cashews
Salt

Method

Heat ghee in a pan & add jeera,when it crakels add cinnamon,clove & cardamom pod,pulav leaves curry leaves & fry,then add onions & fry until golden brown & then add cooked rice & mix then add salt,chilli powder,jeera powder,& mix throughly,

Garnish with coriander leaves & roasted cashews,

Serve with cucumber raita or any other raitha you like.
