Navane or foxtailmillet which is very healthy,actually i had posted one method of making idli & dosa both by using this today this is another version i got & prepared & came out very well here is the recipe.
Ingrediants:
1 cup of foxtailmillet
1 cup of idli rice or regular rice
1/2 cup of urad dal
1/4 cup of poha or avalakki
1 tsp of fenugreek seeds optional
Sugar 1 tsp optional
Method:
1. Soak everything for 4-5 hrs & grind into little coarse paste & leave it to ferment overnight.
2. Next morning add salt & little sugar & mix well.
3. Grease idli moulds & pour ladle full of batter & steam for 15 to 20 mins or until done.
4. When its cool remove by dipping the sspoon in cold water & keep.
5. Serve with your favourite side dish.
6. Note; you can use this batter to make dosa also.
