ONION UPMA

ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ ಉಪ್ಪಿಟ್ಟು 

In last post inhad posted sprouted moong beans upma ,to day i am posting another version onion upma,usually upma or uppittu is made in varieties.like vegetable upma,simple upma,kharabhath,,...


Ingredients

1 cup medium or bombay or rice rava
Water if medium or bombay rava 1:2 if rice rava 1:2&1/2 or little more
Salt
Lemon juice 1 tbsp or more
Sugar ( optional)
Coconut grated 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Tempering
Oil 2 tbsp
Mustered seeds 1 tsp
Green chillies 5-6 finely chopped
Curry leaves
Channa dal 1 tsp
Urad dal 1/2 tsp

Onion 1/2 to 1 cup finely chopped
Ghee 1/2 tsp for frying or roasting rava

Method

Roast rava adding little ghee until fine aroma comes out.

In a pan add oil & heat,then add all seasonings & fry till golden brown color then add onions & fry until it is transparent &  changes its color.

Then add water & live it to boil & add salt,sugar & lemon juice & mix.

When water starts boiling make the flame to sim & little by little without any lumps mix the roasted rava throughly & live it to cook for few minutes.

Then remove & add coconut & coriander leaves
