SOREKAI RAVA IDLI

Soaking over night
Prep., time 10 minutes
Cooking time 20 minutes
Sorekai means lauki or bottlegourd,which is very healthy,it is very good for digestion,for urinary problems like burning sensation,it controls blood pressure,very good for diabetic patients,goodfor reducing   weight, a in Ayurveda it is very good for vata & pitta if we eat cooked lauki. It is also cooling agent,it contains many vitamins & minerals etc.....from this vegetable we can prepare many dishes like curry,sambar,kootu etc......i have prepared dosa also from this lauki,it is very easy & very tasty dish to prepare....

Ingredients

1 cup idli rava
1 cup plus 3 tbsp grated sorekai
Salt as needed
Curds 1 cup
Water as needed

Others
Black pepper 1 tsp
Grated coconut 1/4 cup
Soaked channa dal 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
Curry leaves 1 string
Green chillies 4-5 finely chopped

Method

1. Soak idli rava with grated sorekai & salt by adding curds over night

2. Soak channadal also overnight

3. Next morning mix all other things given under otgers & add little water to make correct consistency ( batter should be like rava idli batter)

4. Grease idli plates or normal idli maker & pour 1 spoonful of batter & spread it equally & thinly.

5. Arrange everything & steam for 20 minutes or until done

6. Serve hot with chutney or any other side of your fav.,
